Last weekend, I took some time off and spent the day at Art Beat an urban festival with food, artworks, crafts and activism. It was hot, not as hot as this record setting weekend but still very warm. We walked around and found one tent/booth where indie authors were selling their books — I think they are an independent collective and I have signed up for their email newsletter/mailing list. And I chose this book: Hidden City: Poems of Urban Wildlife by Sarah Grace Tuttle. She signed it and I’m putting it away for a holiday gift. The poems are lovely and the illustrations are simple, bright and wonderful.
