On reading Austen’s letters

This blog will focus on reading Oxford University’s collection of Jane Austen’s letters. There are over 100 of Jane Austen’s letters in this collection, some were lost, others censored by family members.  While reading them, after shoveling snow and trying to clear the debris off our beach next door, I fell into what I felt was a private conversation mostly between Jane Austen and her sister Cassandra. This blog will be a journey re-reading her letters as well as musings related to Jane Austen, writing and other subjects.  Welcome to all!
